Trying to keep the correct posture can seem impossible especially when you have a job where you are sitting at the computer for 8 hours or more a day! And that is why most people just give up and end up slouching for most of the day.
What you need to remember is that posture is not about getting it right all or none of the time. In order to make this goal attainable you can aim to maintain the correct posture for 10 minutes of every hour to start with. And just as you start small and increase training gradually if you are training for the comrades marathon, so it is with posture. Over time you will train your muscles that hold you up to get stronger and build endurance.
I would say in order to Keep It Simple with posture you should focus on 3 aspects. The first is the opposite of leaning in for a kiss or forward to look at something on your computer screen. What you want to do is bring your chin and centre of gravity back instead. Not pulled excessively backwards into a double chin but so that you have a relaxed head on neck posture between poking your chin forward and retracting it far back.
The second is to keep your shoulders down and not up towards your ears.
Lastly is getting your pelvis into a position that is inbetween slouching your low back and sticking your butt out. Sit up straight but tuck your tailbone in.
And remember to celebrate when you do remember your posture and reward yourself when you are seeing progress so that you remain motivated and continue to try.

A trend that I have noticed very often in my time as a Physiotherapist is the belief that if we wait long enough our pain will go away. So often a patient makes an appointment because they are desperate and in a lot of pain and I listen to the patient’s history and they have had the pain for weeks or months before they come for Physiotherapy treatment.
Effective tips from a Physiotherapist in Ballito on how to Prevent Exercise Injuries
Being a Physiotherapist in Ballito and in private practice for 15 years I have come across overuse injuries too often. They then go from zero to hero and begin with the maximum number of repetitions, weight or duration they can
